Vault 75 "bug"
Yesterday i cleared v75. But in combat training area ive found a 'bug'. Gunner commander was a radroach (literary a bug). It shocked me, but i thought that later lore will explain this to me. No, there is no explanation. Ive read some wiki topics and some walkthrough guides, but noone said that he is a radroach. Today i did some googling and finaly decided to watch some walkthrough on yt. And surprise surprise, all peoples meet him in regular human form.

So, questions - im curious did anybody also saw this behavior? And why it was happend?
Im using pre updated version and some mods (mostly new weapons or cosmetics like vivid weathers) - mb some mod did this, but idk which CAN do this. Played 43 hours on that save and this is first time i see this. Radroach-gunner named as Gunner commander, but model and behavior was radroach. Loot was from both of them - radroach meat and gunner stuff. Very strange to me.

If I remember right, I've read that if there is a problem loading the model of a creature, it can instead appear as a radroach.

VERY uncommon for Fallout 4, for Fallout 76 it is uncommon, but happens. Ghouls think they are robots and explode on death, lol.

For it to happen on Fallout 4 I would think it would have to be like severe script lag or a bad mod edit.

Seen something like this, doing the remnant enclave radio towers, and one in the glowing sea and near vault not sure it was V75, but killed a commander near it, after his death he burst and out popped 3 rad roaches and his body vanished

Idk what is more confusing now - roach commander or ghoul :boomer:

Makes sense. Mb then this is default model for handling model exceptions.

Your case is far more interesting. As @steventirey said - it must be error handling method, but to pop not one but 3 roaches - its very interesting bug too.

Yeah as I said, not evne sure I ever seen it in Fallout 4 before.

However I do know in Fallout 76 whenever the servers got really script laggy that was when it start mismatching mobs.

Actually I have a screenshot of one of them glitches, sorta.
