I have to honestly say that this game is really terrible

It was terrible when it came out. But now, after years it is even worse.
The attacks and animations are totally idiotic, balancing is a word Bethesda seems not to know; 2/3 of the time you trim .ini files and mod the game or trick somehow that you can halfways play. Many of the old bugs I met at the beginning are still there.
Not to mention the building which is so awful beyond anything.

Without countless mods to balance and trim it, in vanilla state this game is not playable with fun. It is even worse than years before. Just terrible. I tried to play it on vanilla on hard difficulty, but it just makes no fun. Fights are not satisfying. Building is a pain.
All this micromanagement which they awfully imported in bigger scale in Fallout 76 is so messy and unfunny and just boring and painful.

Everything that was fun in Fallou3/NV is now a pain. It is just not playable vanilla, even if you know its weakness and take your time . It is just a pain.

I thought I try it out after some years again. 2/3 of my time I ofc trimmed .ini files, installed Mo2 modmanager and some mods which are necessary that you can even play this game,
but at some point you realise... this isn't playable vanilla, at least not with fun.

This game is just terrible even if you know Bethesda, you know how to manage .ini files, you know how to mod. It is just terrible without a pile of mods which make it halfway playable.

No wonder new players resignate pretty early. This game is in a far worse state than years before.

In the end, not every game is for every person. And not everyone has the same opinions, likes, or dislikes. Sure, you don't like that game. But that's subjective - it's an opinion, not a fact. /shrug

(pretty sure I've never messed with an .ini file for Fallout 4.)

I have replayed the base game with the DLC fives time now.

Amp up difficulty don't wear PA just wear pants or basic clothes.
You can ignore most settlements builds unless main story required.

Personally not bored of the base game or DLC content yet. On two runs of two level 80+ male/female characters. Which is the fourth and fifth run. I build up all the settlements. I love scavenging hording and building. Putting all the fave guns on the wall. Lining up the power armours. Maxing out all the companion stories. I kind of like the sad family story outer limit twilight zone ending. I have joined all different factions in the three previous runs (except for the raiders F those guys). I murder the raider gangs with joyous laughter in Nuke World.

Blow up the P or nuking the I is wow and lol.

No mods 795 hours in THIS round, love the game and except for subnautica, NMS and sub zero all other games i play are compared to this series. yes, bugs, but i have never cared because good playability over all.

It's the same game, nothing significant has changed. What's that saying about people repeating something and expecting a different outcome?

Btw I gave it 6/10 on my first vanilla playthru. I couldn't bear playing it all last time I tried about a year ago.
