ok, but im talking about which game fit on that timeline
Pretty much all the Fallouts Timeline diverged exactly at the end of WW2 and the creation of the Atom (so they all fit). Remember all those old late 1940s and `50s clips in black and white that they show sometimes? I dunno maybe they don't show you guys that any more, but you can find them on Youtube.
"The atomic Age!" "A new better future!" Everyone in the `50s expected an amazing new world due to the `atom`- this is what they thought for real, not just the game.
This is where Fallout comes from and where our Timeline changed from their's. But where our world remained boring, their dreams actually happened; robots, super-duper cars, space ships, Moon/Mars colonisation, etc, etc.
Also everything froze into the 1950s ethos, the dress code, designs, the ethics with only slight changes, into the future.
Even the old US versus China and Russia paranoia remained... oh wait that's come back in our reality too!

Good luck.
Except for the flying cars we were promised. We were told we'd have flying cars by now. I still don't have a flying car, either in game or RL. I want my flying car.
I am very disappointed.
As for the games and when they occur, the chronological order is as follows:
Fallout 76 - 2102
Fallout - 2176
Fallout Tactics - 2197
Fallout 2 - 2241
Fallout 3 - 2277
Fallout New Vegas - 2281
Fallout 4 - 2287
All games happen on the same timeline and within the same universe.
I am also very disappointed about that.

Just to add, the Amazon Prime show is set in 2296.
Also location-wise, Fallout 1, 2, New Vegas and the TV Show are set on the West Coast, while Fallout 3 & 4 are on the East Coast.
Fallout Tactics is set in the American Midwest and Fallout 76 in West Virginia.
You, sir, deserve all my Jet for that witty smashed version of history.
That was assuming mankind would continue thriving. Unfortunately we reached our peak in the 90's. The best you're going to get now is an extra warning label on chemical products.
I am not. I don't like how people drive on 2 axis and you want to add a 3rd? I don't think its technology keeping us from flying cars. I think it will be a mess the likes we are seeing with self driving cars and the Internet.
Maybe you're too young to know, but we older ones as kids always read stories and watched shows of flying cars in the future, so we expected it.
We know NOW how stupid it would be, but it's an injoke of us older folk to still complain about where are the flying cars we were promised.
