I dont see DLSS settings, is something wrong with my update?

It says there was next gen update, but i dont see DLSS in the settings? Do i have to re-install the game or something?

There are no DLSS or Ray-Tracing settings. It is an update for the game to run better on next-gen consoles. It has never been a "Next Gen" re-release of the game as some want to believe. It is just an update.

In this rare case Fallout 4 is an old enough game where it wasn't built with DLSS as a crutch
If you have an RTX card you should have absolutely no reason to use DLSS on it anyways, unless you've HARDCORE bottlenecked that poor GPU

belief and hope are how religion works. it's depressing to see it applied to gamers. never believe! Apparently "next gen" means it can identify your video card instead of saying unknown card and defaulting to the lowest possible settings... there's our next gen on PC... console got it better, apparently.

while I doubt you can force AI interframe generation on a game that doesn't support it, you can always force a lot of other things to make your game look much better, though. grab the NV Profile Inspector and have at it: https://github.com/Orbmu2k/nvidiaProfileInspector/releases/

Buddy, the next generation update was based mostly on new content, the old game engine can't handle the newer things like frame gen and dlss!

DLSS is not integrated in this game, neither is any form of ray tracing (except for basic stuff like SSR and SSS, SSGI).

If the old game engine can't handle newer things like DLSS, why has there been a fully working DLSS mod for over a year now? And the mod has been used by 75 000 players already. Just google Fallout 4 DLSS.

its because the lack of understanding of basic terms. PCs do not have generations, new hardware is released all the time. Next GEN only refers to console generations, this next gen update brought the ps4 and xbox whatever up to the current generation of consoles, thats all

Game runs at 4k 120 fps for me with like 65% gpu utilitization... Admittedly a 7900xtx isn't a slow gpu, bu still... This means that probably everything north of like a 3060 can probably do 4k 60 in this game at max settings.

dlss isn't necessary. lol.
