I think that Emil Pagliarulo, that talentless hack of a writer, is more harmful in the long run than Todd Howard.
lol away. I would tell you if I thought your question was genuine, but I know it isn't and you'll just move the goalposts. Go find out. I'm not doing the work for you, just know you are wrong.
In conclusion, you are wrong. There was nothing comparable to what BGS did with Fallout 4 VR at the time or even a year after it released.
You can't name even one game.
Proving his point.
Meanwhile the whole company is at fault.
Now look at Bethesda's twitter, even though Fallout 4 is more popular they only keep bragging about Fallout 76's player numbers and nothing about Fallout 4. Bethesda really hates people playing Fallout 4 it seems.
Yeah, and the next fool who will be appointed by Microsoft is going to turn Fallout and the Elder Scrolls into Halo, no thanks....
Obviously they prefer to push 76, it is a larger investment on their part, and has a lot more potential to bring more money...
In my opinion 76 should have never happened. Like Starfield, 76 was an experiment of shorts. Bethesda wanted to experiment with stuff but didn't want to do it with the Elder Scrolls so instead they used Fallout and Starfield. At least those 2 are getting a lot of hate so Elder Scrolls 6 and Fallout 5 should be more conservative when they get released.
Emil was the lead game designer on Starfield and it ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ shows, my god. Everything that man touches turns to absolute ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
If I had to guess it's this misplaced loyalty and trust in certain key employees that keeps ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Bethesda over. Emil is just one of them, I'm sure. But if you have multiple Emil's in your company all ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ up their own department and you refuse to let them go for their bad performance, that's how you end up with modern Bethesda.
Being owned by an investment firm for 1,5 decade who's only objective is making money regardless of product quality also doesn't help of course. That mindset probably lingers for a good long while.
That's not gonna work, pal.
