What's the highest fps you can go safely without breaking physics, terminals etc?
First my game was locked at half the refresh rate of my monitor, 83 but I managed to unlock it. Can I go up to 90 or above without issues? thanks

The entire engine's timing is predicated on 60, so no a 25% increase over that is not costless.

Anything over and the physics will start playing up. I've tried.

you gotta use a mod to untie the fps from the phsyics

With the high speed physics patch on a high end rig, I am around 100 fps in the commonwealth and 80fps in boston.
As it is a F4Se based mod, this will not work on updated games (yet)
Works for me because i locked down my game and did not update.
When F4SE is updated and main mods are too then I might update.
But here is the mod for high FPS w/o weirding out the game (also serves you shorten load times to 2-5 seconds on a good rig)

Okey, this surprise me with the windowed and fullscreen; so, it’s better to play with 60 fps and fullscreen? (I can’t read the numbers from the boxes because my poor vision)

My game is always at 145 Fps. Counter is always on my screen and it never dips, it always matches my monitors refresh rate no matter where I am in game, But I have a 3070 Ti Super and I *don't* use a 4k Monitor which I have to assume would drop my frames. I use 2560x1440

it really depends if you are alt tabbing a lot and like to do stuff in the background
but the games max FPS is 60

from what i can tell fullscreen runs smoother at 60 then windowed at lest in my case

i don't know how to make the vid any bigger in davinci resolve.

The question is pointless. The game can show bugs at any framerate. 60fps is simply the widely accepted limit for historical reasons and the engine's design, making it the "politically correct" answer.

The main concern one should have is that the framerate acts as a multiplier to all sorts of problems. Next to installing mods that increase the risks of bugs all on their own does an increased framerate directly increase this risk factor.

Some mods actually expect the game not to run faster than 60fps, because their author did not test it, did not have the hardware at the time, was lazy, or even intentionally took shortcuts.

It remains a personal preference. Your game, your way.

Yeah, it seems not to make any difference for me, at least not with the intro. I read that borderless(windowed) with windows 11 is better as it was in the past. Thanks for the video always nice to see such things.

Oh sweet child. If only you knew the most demanding areas. Bless your heart.
