Long loading screens
I have a good PC, very good GPU and a fast SSD, Windows 10, 16GB DDR4-3600 RAM. But loading screens take 1-2 minutes. That is ..not really satisfying. Any tips what to do?
Thx in advance.

True. Running on a top notch NVME (Firecuda) myself and the loading screens are difinitely a bit too long for that.

Wait for modders to fix these day one bugs (again) almost 10 years later. Lmao

I saw this but I am not really sure to use this mod. Sounds problematic/dangerous.

Wait, So the patch did not fix the 1-2 minute load screens in places.. like where you meet the minute men, going in and out of that building.

was going to play again, but if they have not fixed it I see no reason to do so,

I know there are mods to fix that. I dont install game fix mods on moral grounds.

I dont install mods to fix broken games because that encourages lazy devs to launch crap games with mod tools and let the public figure it out for free. it also encourages game devs to end a games support lifespan early for economic reasons then allow the dedicated community to keep it alive via modding... thats lazy and I wont have any part of it.

Yeah, just completed those quests... again. And the loading screens took like around 15-20 seconds. Maybe 25. So not "forever" but still a bit weird.

and the trick is? I played F4 years ago (never to the end) and now installe dit again after the update. Never had this issue of so long loading screens. Is it cause of my better hardware meanwhile, the higher settings?

No tricks. Just out of the box that's how it plays. Not sure why it's taking minutes in your end though. That's definitely weird, for a NVME drive. I did just reinstall the game for the new patch, so it's fresh install with only the official DLC content. At least i didn't install any CC content yet.

The game has been out for about a decade and to this very day modders still haven't been able to find what the problem for long loading is, nor have they actually found a "fix." some say it's limited to framerate; others say it's the actual loading screen itself that is taking forever, but the fact is nobody knows. nobody will ever know. bethesda has tons of jank in this game, but the loading screen and weapon debris constantly crashing nvidia users is the most noticeable set of issues that will never be fixed by any official capacity. the weapon debris fix is actually very simple but Bethesda will never do it themselves. the programmers that made this particular iteration of the creation engine are long gone.

you can try and try and try again, but at the end of the day the long load times are just part of fo4's character.

completely fresh install after years without mods... and all official DLCS...

I don't understand .. CPU Cores.. my CPU runs on 7%-10% while it plays tetris meanwhile. I5-12600k. Overclocked. Set to max performance. Nvidia 1080 (not the newest, but really solid; and an NVME SSD. My hardware begs for doing something; still loadings screens take so much time... wtf

Like i said, i have no idea. I'm playing the game on my all intel system, that has 12900K (OC'd), Z690, 64GB DDR5 5600, 2Tb Firecuda NVME, ARC A770-LE 16GB, 1000W PSU, Windows 11 Pro. Nothing out of the ordinary, a bit abobe average PC these days.

I will try later with my new system with 13900KS, 64GB DDR5 6000 & 4080 Super (and NVME of course) to see if it's any different on that setup.

So those long loading screens aren't normal? Maybe then I try fresh configuration files...
