144 Hz monitor and game run crazy fast? Simple solution Nvidia
Hi guys.
I run 144 Hz monitor with Gtx 4080 and after fresh install of F4 after new update my game just went mad. I mean everything run very fast and is desync. I tried to modify F4 .ini files , changing refresh rate on my monitor and nothing works. I found a solution to this problem, no need to change your refresh rate, no need to modify files.
1. right click on your desktop
2. Nvidia control panel
3. Manage 3D settings
4. Program settings, find Fallout 4(fallout4launcher.exe)
5. Scroll down to Vertical Sync
6. change from use the 3d application settings to ON
7. Apply
8. start game and have fun
Hope this will help someone
Cheers

I have to decrease the hertz otherwhise its faster and you cant jump. But thats no problem until you log into another game and forget to change lol

I have a 3080 and the game ran fine buuuuut... running, walking, and sprinting felt like an olympic runner, I jump like a 400lbs man, and the audio when talking was out of sync and voices overlapping. My fix turned out to be quite simple. I have a 165hz monitor so what I had to do was manually cap the game at 120fps in the nvidia control panel under program settings. By default it's disabled. Doing this fixed everything.

So it works with 120? I backed down to 60 just in case. I mean jumping as its kind of mandatory sometimes.

You're my favorite person today. I don’t know you, but you just saved me hours of frustration because the overlap was driving me nuts.

120fps is the cap you need. I recall reading going over 120 cause issues. You might still have a problem jumping. There is a mod that sort of fixes it by increasing jump height. Basically it just counters the loss.

I noticed anything after 120 ♥♥♥♥ starts flying across the map and the audio sync is way off
