Can't make purified water
I've got 4 water purifiers in my settlement. All are powered and working. I've had my character sleep for 'several' in game days, and no water has been produced. I even cleared out all aid items from my workbench to make sure I wasn't going mad and not seeing it and, nope, no water. What the heck?!

bro do you expect it to go straight in your inventory? It goes to workbench

There is a situation where it gets removed but damned if I can remember when that is. I started moving water out into a separate container when I suffered that. I mean, on survival mode I gathered a ton of bottles and filled them only to lose most of them in the cook stove (synched to the workbench.)

Yeah they go to the workbench, not your personal inventory. They also take time, and it doesnt help if you remain there.

It's funny. In my whole time of playing the game for years I never went so far into building to try and make water (except for the water pipes you stick in the ground). I just collect water I need and boil it. Done.

I guess that shows just how varied one's options are if he really doesn't care about building stuff.

I'm aware. I meant I removed aid items from my workbench

I've noticed the purified water sometimes doesn't spawn in the work bench if you store dirty water or other drinks in there too.

Not sure why but try removing the other drinks and wait awhile.

As I said in my post. I removed EVERY aid item in my workbench. There's nothing in there that should be blocking the ability to put purified water in the workbench

Oh sorry missed that bit. Hmm not sure then. Other than to say make sure the water producing machinery has enough power and to leave it enough time. Try fast travelling away and come back later.

How many settlers are in the settlement and are you using mods, esp. settlement ones?
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

I assumed it was just in game time, not IRL time. Thanks a lot! ^_^

real-time timer is like 8minutes, in-game they spawn at 0:00 each day.
You get ~75% of your water rating if the water in your workshop is below some very low limit.
