What does The Enclave communication Tower do
I was wondering what the Enclave communication Tower does I'm hoping it causes The Enclave to attack your settlements that have it set up and powered but something tells me that would be too awesome for Bethesda to green light

A quick look in the Creation Kit shows that the workshop version of the Enclave Communications Tower doesn't appear to have a script for respawning attached to it like the version found at the preplaced Enclave camps.

Does that mean if I go back and turn on the encampment communication towers that I'll get more Enclave to attack?

It's quite possible, noting that there are five of the "respawn" transmitters at their different camps, and you're only directly asked to turn off three of them by the aftermath part of the "Echoes of the Past" quest where you get the location of the east, west, and south camps from the terminal at Atlantic Offices.

I'm guessing that they each control respawning for their specific camp, and the script properties suggest there's a respawn time of 2-7 days.

1st, I was wondering the same thing as OP, but more significantly...

2nd, you mean there's still 2 more outposts out there we don't know about? I did the east west, south outposts, i had no idea there might be more unlisted. That's good intel.

The other two Enclave communications towers are already there during the quest, one at Atlantic Offices, the other (if I recall correctly) at the camp near Saugus. There just isn't any direct call from the quest or post-quest to switch them off.

Is there anything that says the game will spawn Enclave patrols after you finish the quest?

Or is a dozen X-02 suits all there is?

I think I stole every one the Enclave has hahaha

The five Enclave communication towers at their camps are listed in the Creation Kit with "respawn" in their names, and scripting on them with properties for a minimum and maximum time.

I haven't directly tested them yet, but it looks like Enclave camps with their tower turned on should respawn every 2-7 days, which would imply more troops and more armour.

Excellent!

That is good news!!! I'm going to go turn on all of the radio towers because I really want to collect more Enclave dog tag! Mainly cuz I like the idea of my character killing Enclave.

Great, sorry for needing clarification, I got those places.

I did get around to testing whether the Enclave units would respawn if the towers were turned on, but despite sleeping away a week or two and revisiting, they didn't seem to do so.

Either the respawn doesn't work at all, or the tower properties for respawning might only be intended to work before you shut down the three camps in the post-quest. I'd have to go back with an earlier character who hasn't already finished the quest to check that.

It's potentially disappointing either way, since I don't like shutting off options or leaving things incomplete.
