Controlled folder access blocking it since the .exe change recently?
PS: Check to make sure that Fallout 4's Launcher isn't trying to load a screen resolution that doesn't match your actual resolution.
The game works without issues when you only use mods that are compatible with the Fallout 4 version that you are running.
All mods that worked before the NextGen update work fine if you didn't upgrade to the NextGen version
and will work if you downgrade Fallout 4 to the previous version.
No mods. I DL this a few weeks ago. Worked fine to start with, but only from the desktop icon, and not with the launch button in the Steam launcer.
Update went without issue. The launch thinks I've played today, but I have not. With both the desktop icon and the launcher, it starts to load with the Steam screen, but never opens the game. Just stops and you're still just looking at the desktop or the launcher. No transitions. No black screens. Nothing.
I can't get the game to open at all. Steam tries to launch it, but it just fails. Doesn't even try to transition into the game. No access to any settings in the game.
Nope
MY screen resolution is 300HZ, what resolution should i use for that?
This fixed my issue also
