Stuck on update announcement on main menu

I click the "click any button to start" and then it comes up with "Cheers to the Wanderers" message and about the new update but I can't see the mouse to click anything and my controller does nothing I'm stuck. Anyone else got a fix for this or at least on the same boat?

same here tried disconnecting controller no go tried reconnecting controller no good not sure what the issue is

Ok so I fully disconnected controller and was able to click it at least but still annoying =/
