Charging fusion cores - How ?
How does it work exactly ? Google says " store them in a power armor station "

Been storing 3 in the one located in diamond city and slept for 48Hours, but nothing

Can anyone explain please ?

you have to buy more or find more no way to just charge them

They aren't rechargable. Mods might help with that. Otherwise you find them and use them sparringly.

Oh that's such a shame really :/

I was having so much fun using the laser gatling

EDIT : Is there a fallout 4 mod manager to make the mod installation easier ?

A common tip to get more out of your fusion cores is to swap them out just before they run out completely and sell them off, since you get the same price for an almost-drained core as a fully-charged one.

Yeah you can't charge them up like you can in fallout 76. But you'll have so many cores mid to late game that it won't even matter.

I play on survival mode and I have to store excess cores at my base because I have so many, if I didn't I wouldn't be able to move.

If your character is high INT, you could put points into the nuclear physicist perk which makes the cores last longer.

Also the luck perk for finding more ammo is helpful, you will be swimming in them soon enough.

They are everywhere, i don't really rely on power armour till lvl 25/30 by that time you should have a few in you've looted enough.
Use that time to craft a decent armour and weapons instead.

You can run one core right down to 0 or 1/2/3 and store it(jump out armour at last second), use those cores for settler, you will find many power amour, put in many settlements, you aren't giving the armour a full core, your giving the settlers a spent core, that's all they need. While i sit there with 70+ cores around lvl 40/50.
Once you get even higher you core count should be at least 120+ cores. Looting, buying, selling stuff for them(raider trash, leather trash, pipe weapons). Caps.

Get to lvl 100 + and you've gained so much you can even enter large hard mode fights with your carefully crafted Legendary armours and no power armour at all. Park it up jump out, fight

nuclear phys is awseome as Neo says for the time extension which seems to work on things like the gatling as well as power armor usage length, but the final perk tier turning cores into nuke grenades is just awesome... wandering into a crowd with the gatling, get swarm, pop a core and ghouls go ka-blooey

I always wander in a power armor & use a laser gatling, so i'm using the cores quite a lot

I been wondering if that AMMO perk is actually very noticeable ? Like is it worth getting ?

Yes, because even if you don't get the ammo you want, you can trade that for the ammo you need.

you can buy them from vendors, easiest way to make caps is farm purified water at your settlements to trade them for.

if you get the bobble head and nuclear physicist t3 your batters will last 110% longer and you can use a core 2 time in the laser Gatling before it depletes. 1000 rounds per fusion core.

just have your minion carry most of your core as the game defaults to using a core at 100% core before using the 50% core
