they did a lot of hush hush work on this one to make it run better as a legit game and not just a wonky mess of brokenness.
example: you can no longer equip the mirv to a pipe pistol because the glitch doesn't go into the pipe pistol display anymore, it shows the rounds of the gun instead of the gun being fitted with the mirv.
was a fun "feature" but im actually glad they removed it because it means they were actually paying attention and knew how to fix it.
Bethesda ruined a lot of people's game, people who trusted Bethesda and expected a good patch. They are very disappointed. If you have suggestions of how to get the game running for them, that would be a lot better than laughing at their game being denied them.
We aren't denying the disappointment, we're just saying it is a bit overblown. The main problem with most is that they play modded, and if they played modded, they played F4SE at least ONCE in their time playing modded. If they still have F4SE or some sort of script mod, it will be broken until the devs of that mod fixes it.
The best solution isn't to complain about it on the bethesda steam community, it is to inform the mod creators and wait for them to fix it. If you truly are experiencing an issue with the game in an unmodded state, rendering it unplayable, then this is something you report on the official Bethesda forums and *not* the steam community. When you come to the steam community, you're coming for fixes and not for bug reports.
I don't see how you can say all of them are playing with mods that are now incompatible. It's not their fault.
You see help forms right here. Bethesda is playing "see no evil, hear no evil, not admitting to evil done". That's why they come here for help. bethesda ignored the bugs in the game for YEARS. Don't think they just throw out a buggy patch and then have changed their ways and are responsive.
I used this UI mod to fix the stretched hud for my 21:9 monitor. After forcing 60 fps, the game runs great, but I still need weapon debris disabled.

All in all a lazy ass patch, but once you do some legwork, it does run great.
They'll fix enough eventually, while mods will do the rest.
If there are any mod authors left in FO4, maybe they'll fix the bugs. The Unofficial Fallout 4 Patch for the update is already on Nexus.

No Fallout 4 script extender yet. It's a lot more than just an update to the version block, clearly.
