Thank you Bethesda for this patch!
It is a great patch. I love the additional content. The game seems to run better on my low end Linux machine (at the minimum settings) and i think it looks better too. I don't know what exactly changed in this patch, but textures appear much crisper now for me. Is it better textures? Better lighting? Better filtering? I don't know but i think i can see more detail on walls for example, especially during dark+flashlight areas, and the all the objects and actors appear crisper.

In any case, i loved this patch, and i want to share my feelings to add my 2 cents among this whole flood of negativity. An anniversary edition DLC with all the Creation Club content would be ideal now, thanks!

Game is running great on my ultrawide 3440x1440 monitor too. I did have to run an accelerator mod to cut down on load times cause they were bad.

it legit runs great for me as well and there are a few things that used to be in the game as exploits that are patched that they didn't mention in the logs, and for obvious reasons.

they did a lot of hush hush work on this one to make it run better as a legit game and not just a wonky mess of brokenness.

example: you can no longer equip the mirv to a pipe pistol because the glitch doesn't go into the pipe pistol display anymore, it shows the rounds of the gun instead of the gun being fitted with the mirv.

was a fun "feature" but im actually glad they removed it because it means they were actually paying attention and knew how to fix it.

Yeah, I think the negativity is a bit overblown. Sure, F4SE was broken but that's to be expected, it will be fixed in a reasonable time frame.

I don't see why it is necessary to deny the disappointment and frustrations of those folks who's game now doesn't run because of the patch.
Bethesda ruined a lot of people's game, people who trusted Bethesda and expected a good patch. They are very disappointed. If you have suggestions of how to get the game running for them, that would be a lot better than laughing at their game being denied them.

We aren't denying the disappointment, we're just saying it is a bit overblown. The main problem with most is that they play modded, and if they played modded, they played F4SE at least ONCE in their time playing modded. If they still have F4SE or some sort of script mod, it will be broken until the devs of that mod fixes it.

The best solution isn't to complain about it on the bethesda steam community, it is to inform the mod creators and wait for them to fix it. If you truly are experiencing an issue with the game in an unmodded state, rendering it unplayable, then this is something you report on the official Bethesda forums and *not* the steam community. When you come to the steam community, you're coming for fixes and not for bug reports.

Look at the flood of posts saying their game doesn't run, many of them say they play plain vanilla.
I don't see how you can say all of them are playing with mods that are now incompatible. It's not their fault.
You see help forms right here. Bethesda is playing "see no evil, hear no evil, not admitting to evil done". That's why they come here for help. bethesda ignored the bugs in the game for YEARS. Don't think they just throw out a buggy patch and then have changed their ways and are responsive.

I mean, if people with problems seeking help should post on bethesda "help", perhaps the laughing at the folks with broken games should also be on bethesda help.

There is nothing wrong with the update. The game runs just fine, if not better than before.
Imagine thanking Bethesda for doing the bare minimum

What exact accelerator mod did you use? I'm going to need this too. Loading is unbearable atm, the last issue I have.

I used this UI mod to fix the stretched hud for my 21:9 monitor. After forcing 60 fps, the game runs great, but I still need weapon debris disabled.

All in all a lazy ass patch, but once you do some legwork, it does run great.

Who was foolish enough to trust BGS to not put out another half assed effort?

They'll fix enough eventually, while mods will do the rest.

Bethesda was good with bugs for 7 years.
If there are any mod authors left in FO4, maybe they'll fix the bugs. The Unofficial Fallout 4 Patch for the update is already on Nexus.

No Fallout 4 script extender yet. It's a lot more than just an update to the version block, clearly.
