If any of the mods require the script extender they will be broken till the author of F4SE fixes it. They know it needs to updated and are working on it. It will take them several days to fix it, then the mod authors need to update their mods. So you are looking at a week or so with some mods broken. Best to disable the mods that are broke till they can be fixed.

I suggest you read or watch a good modding guide.

Mods that add items, NPCs, quests, etc. into the game will leave references in your savefile. When you remove mods and continue with a savefile will these references point nowhere and wreck your game. Hence never remove mods mid-game unless you know what you are doing and a particular mod is known for being safe to remove.

Mods are not a candy shop, I am afraid. They were written by other players. Some of good quality, many in average quality, and some can be terrible. It is like buying random stuff on eBay or a flea market. Do not install 50 mods and hope they all work together. They often do not, especially when these do similar things.

Perform a clean install, make sure to verify files and to delete any left over folders/files the mods you made left behind.

Another good practice is if you use Vortex and a collection with mods, always uninstall the collection, any additional mods THEN uninstall Fallout 4.

Nobody can help you, get it into your head pal the others have been absolutely right.

Modding is not a 100% secure thing in terms of game integrity, most modders mod their game to the point it barely works FOR FUN. One of the golden rules of modding in BGS games is NEVER REMOVE MODS AND LOAD A SAVE. Doing this is like building a tower and removing the middle section and expecting it to stay standing. When you mod (in this case FO4) you must make sure you are happy with your modlist, do some checks in game to check it is stable THEN try and play as much as you like.

The reason you can make a new game fine with the mods you have enabled is because it is like building a new "tower" but if you was to remove mods again that new "tower" would break too.

This is a lesson for you, nobody can fix this it is the risk you agreed to when you started modding. Learn, you CANNOT remove mods from a playthrough. There is NO FIX if you break your modded playthrough save. We all go through it but you get better at it.

No problem, like I said you will get the hang of it, I have 400+ hours of modding in FO4 and most of that has been starting new games and messing around with lists having to restart every time. Just remember if you mess with mods during a playthrough it will likely break. This can be adding them too, it is why making modlists can take a long time. Sorry for your lost save though.

Well I have been in your shoes, multiple times in fact, I have nuclear restart my fo4 game like 5 times, so I'm pretty sure I'm 5 times more hurts than you lmao

Though what I can say is that, use the storywealth collection instead, join the server and ask every single thing you didn't understand to them even if you'll looks like an idiot

Do as they said, and you'll have the best modded experience without major issues with 1000+ mod

I'm currently playing on 200 hours with 1040 mods with no major issues
