If you updated
.. only to realize all of your mods are broken and you got nothing in return? No worries. You can always roll back:

1. Delete the new creation club content, anything that starts with cc.

ccBGS ccFRS ccFSV ccOTM ccSBJ
etc

2. Open Steam's console and run the commands; to open the Steam console hit win+r then paste
steam://open/console
and hit enter

3. Run these commands through steam console. You may have to do it 1 at a time. If you leave the console while they're downloading, they'll stop. You CAN tab out though, just don't touch anything in steam.
Replace marked downloads with your language. Server won't let me link the depot locations sorry.

Fallout 4 content_a download_depot 377160 377161 7497069378349273908 Fallout 4 exe download_depot 377160 377162 5847529232406005096 Fallout 4 content_b download_depot 377160 377163 5819088023757897745 Fallout 4 english (replace with your language) download_depot 377160 377164 2178106366609958945 Fallout 4 - Automatron download_depot 377160 435870 1691678129192680960 Fallout 4 - Automatron english (replace with your language) download_depot 377160 435871 5106118861901111234 Fallout 4 - Wasteland Workshop download_depot 377160 435880 1255562923187931216

4. Replace files. I recommend you to back up your install first. With that in mind, you could probably just drag, drop, and replace all of them.

Finally, go to your library, and r-click on Fallout4 and then:
1. In the settings set "Only update the game when I launch it"
2. Select "never allow background downloads"
3. Do not launch it through steam. You can use mod managers to do it - or you can launch it through F4SE.

there is a more detailed guide (with screenshots and explanations, as well as depot ids for various languages) here:

I was just on Nexus looking for new mods for the game since I didn't update, and there are multiple uploads with detailed instructions on how to revert your game back to the previous version so it actually works.

Cool, didn't see that. Anyhow, it's good to have the message out there.

yeah - the forum threads move so fast that none stay near the front for long enough for people to see them - so when i saw that someone had made a decent guide i just post the link to it in any thread about reverting (there is another lazy guide where someone has just pasted a bunch of forum posts and at least one dodgy looking and uneccessary external link that comes from the original post - whereas this guy actually made an effort with the info and the presentation - so i prefer to signal boost his work)

anyway - hopefully people will get the info they need :-)
