To anyone who updated is it possible to reject the "Enclave Quest" during install?
My computer is locked down and did not get the update.

But I watched a vid on the Enclave quest and it seems like it offers you OP weapons and armor early in the game ruining the balance and no choice to either join them or fight them, that choice is made for you.
There are at least 2 clearly superior Enclave mods already in existence one of which I intend to download, and I doubt the two together make sense.

I dont want this Enclave quest on my computer, as it will damage plausibility of the Worldspace if I run around in these over-the-top Enclave armors that also dont look like the retrofuture theme of Fallout.
I know some folks like them as mods but I always felt it clashed with the Fallout look.
In the enclave mods from Nexus one can turn off these over-the-top armors by simply not downloading the source files.

Right now my computer is locked down and will not update on its own, but this is not a Situation that I will maintain forever.

So is there an easy option or will i have to scoure the game files and do deletions by hand to get rid of this content when I do eventually download?

I think you'll have to delete that stuff by hand. Or even better, don't update, launch the game through F4SE, so your mods will still work, and the game won't crash constantly. Just don't make the same mistake that everyone else (including myself) did.

You have to delete the files manually.

I made a list of the files to delete in this thread:

Thanks a bunch! :)

Currently my game is locked down hard but I figured eventually I might have to update when most mods will be made for the new F4SE.
Or its entirely possible that some mods like transfer settlement blueprints may be made to work with either the old or new F4SE
