Holy Crap was able to make it to the guy at the gate that stopped the vault tec employee but let me thru before game crashed to desktop...Didn't make it to the next autosave though so I have to try again but I guess that is progress right?
same issue. cant play for more than like 4 minutes before it hard crashes. new install.
So for you I'd keep an eye on if they focus on Windows 11, and/or also admit that whatever they did instantly borked all old saves. Honestly I was expecting that I'd have to delete the game entirely and redownload the thing - am kinda amazed that I was actually able to play.
If any of you want to test this I'd suggest saving a backup of your old games elsewhere - then go in and try deleting old saves, then try playing after making a new character. If it's still not working possibly would indicate Win 11 is the issue? Maybe? Question marks because, Bethesda.
DISABLE it in under options and your game wont crash.
This is a very known issue with 3xxx and 4xxx cards and Fallout.
It is still not being patched.
Broke all F4SE mods expects crashes if you use them.
May have issues due to added content in relation to mods, example someone has to check for missing references and unintentional deletes caused by updates if that happens all mods that call on such references will cause crashes.
In short if you use mods or intend to use mods you can expect some crashes until people that work on mods star to get things sorted out. Could take some time.
In meantime if you had a working mods list and allowed your game to update an have to play this weekend I suggest you look up how to roll ack the update.
I'm a mod author and long time mod user, so I know plenty of stuff, ignore this simple advice an suffer or take it with some salt an prosper it's up to you.
