At least it works for you. xD
It is completely broken on linux, so i'm guessing steam deck doesn't work either.
(tested it with four different versions of proton, including experimental)

Running in windowed+borderless lets it start. (currently using proton experimental)

loading screens have always been slow without ether alt-tabing during loading screens or using mods that speed up loading.

The only way I have been able to fix it is to install the mod known as "Loading Accelerator" by hippo. You can find it on the Nexus and it is very easy to install. Once you have downloaded the files, just move the two files into the same folder where your Fallout4.exe file is. That is literally it and after that it should work.

Same my load times went from around 5 seconds to 1-2 minutes. Vanilla game without the HD textures. And i was playing the game fine the day before.
Also my game now runs at 35-48fps

I was playing the day before the patch with a 3900x and 2080ti and 32 gig ram. from an m2 ssd. 5 seconds before the patch. 30 seconds to 3 minutes after the patch when entering a new scene (in or out of a main building). Yes I have to alt tab out and back in sometimes as it gets stuck forever on occasions. Yes I am using the HD textures BOTH times and playing at 4K. FPS is still well over 100fps.
Me too, sometimes it takes like 2 minutes its absolutely insane, I dont remember beeing this long when I played day one

Disabling the "save on Traveling" helps, but not like it should.

Been alot of posts about this, so hopefully a fix comes down the pipe at us.
