Essential DLCs?
I already own the base game plus Far Harbor. What are the best of the other DLCs if I haven’t played in a long time and I want to start a brand new game?

Any advice would be awesome, thanks. :)

Isn't the base game now the GOTY, with ALL DLC?
Edit: if not, Nuka is for "evil" character development and Automatron is if you want to make robots (and have twenty million robot encounters- that are virtually identical- because the DLC is still corrupt.)

I don’t know but Steam says I only own the base game plus Far Harbor so *shrug*.

Nuka World is a lot of fun. Big map, great art direction. Different raider gangs you can side with--or just kill them all. Plus there's the lunatic Hubologists out in the boonies.

You probably bought the game and one DLC. The "GOTY" version is not the primarily presented version on the store page.

The "critical" DLCs are Far Harbor, Vault-Tec Workshop, Nuka World and Automatron. These are the DLCs that add meaningful content to the game and are often required by mods due to core scripting changes to the game. Unfortunately, if you want the unofficial patch project, which is relatively important, you also need Wasteland Workshop and Contraptions Workshop.

Yeah it sucks. It looks like there’s no way to get the GOTY edition without buying the game again. And the season pass is nearly the same price. Lame. 😒
