"Operation cannot be completed" message on the mod manager
Is there any fix for this? Creation Club works fine, but I can't access the mod manager. I need to uninstall some of my old mods.

I just figured it out. Go into your mods folder in the game directory and delete/move all your mods out of the file.

It should work with a blank file. I think it is because certain mods were loaded that broke during the update.

This fix doesn't work for everyone. I did this with a fresh install, ie there was no mods to delete and it still threw up the error and its still doing it now.

All you should really do is exit the game after you are done installing creations/3rd party mods that will complete. Verify the integrity of game files and attempt to install more remaining creations or 3rd party mods. Perhaps reloading at the main menu for ever successful single creation or 3rd party mod installed with the operation complete. All of this using the in-game menu for creations and mods i assume. You might have to exit game and verify more then 1 time. Happy trails, pal. This worked for Creations (not your collection of community mods) that said the same error.

I wish I could help more, I don't really know the files well for this game.

Did not work for me either. Only things I have on are from the Creation Club.

I’ve got the same issue. Won’t open the mods page on the main menu and I’ve tried resetting the game, rebooting pc and internet and it still won’t open.

I did see something whilst I was looking for a fix about how the mods and creation club pages were going to be down for a couple days so it could be that

The server is overloaded with users trying to sort out their mods following the update. Try at a different time of day. USA is the biggest user so try between 4:00am to 10:00am?

with CC mods, use the "download all" button, prevents the "failed to complete operation"

Having the same issue

I couldn't get mine to work until I moved Fallout 4 to the same drive as the >documents/mygames/fallout4 pathway the game creates.

Does anyone have a fix for this that works for steam deck?

I don't have a desktop computer that can run windows. I have installed mods manually on the deck in the past for Baldurs Gate 3, but it genuinely took so long to trouble shoot and get it running that I had very little interest in the game by the time it was resolved.

So if anyone has a fix - especially a relatively simple one - I would greatly appreciate the guidance.
It is a transient error due to high server load at Bethesda. Don't take any action at all. Just retry later. This error has happened since the beginning of time, and increases at busy periods, like when they release an update. Especially if that update is borked.

I notice my mods page crashes with this message when i scroll and find the mod: No Borders - Far Harbor. As soon as it appears on my screen, it crashes to the menu.
