I just figured it out. Go into your mods folder in the game directory and delete/move all your mods out of the file.
It should work with a blank file. I think it is because certain mods were loaded that broke during the update.
I did see something whilst I was looking for a fix about how the mods and creation club pages were going to be down for a couple days so it could be that
I don't have a desktop computer that can run windows. I have installed mods manually on the deck in the past for Baldurs Gate 3, but it genuinely took so long to trouble shoot and get it running that I had very little interest in the game by the time it was resolved.
So if anyone has a fix - especially a relatively simple one - I would greatly appreciate the guidance.
