That's fair. I havent even seen a monitor like that where i live yet. So i suppose this is for the majority of people living more on the humble side of life just wanting to enjoy the game.
I know how to fix it but refuse to play with only 60 FPS on a 165 Hz display with a 4070 Ti.
The problem isnt he update. the problem is steam took away the option to update your game when YOU felt like it. A while ago you could go into settings and DISABLE updates. but not anymore... soon as you launch it, there ya go. :(
I did, everything's fine. Y'all scared me tbh, but it looks like it's all fine.
If your game doesn't work you either bought a weird monitor and have crazy expectations for games like this to work on it, or you modded your game and likely have FOSE installed.
Either way it's not nearly the catastrophe certain people are making it out to be.
If you bought an Ultra-Wide you should know by now it's not "Widely" supported especially in older games lol get it Widely. So... your fault.
And if you modded your game at all... your fault.
I avoided buying Ultra Wide because it's not really that great and the support for it is limited, and I don't mod much because modding always breaks my game. So things are fine for me.
I got a bunch of quests too it seems, gonna go check these out. Later y'all.
If you want to play, get a NORMAL monitor or TV, Nuke your entire game and reinstall, no mods, no CC content. Turn off weapon debris, 60fps limit and you're good to go. This ain't that hard guys. Mods break the game, you don't need them trust me. Mods are like a drug addiction, they feel good at first, and you become dependent on them, but in the end, they always end up breaking things.
Extra content which was free and seamless installation. No mod manager to be concerned about or load orders. My last save loaded up fine and the game is just as stable and smooth as before.
I was not expecting a Next Gen graphic update. It looks really good on my PC with ultra settings, at 1440p. The console players got graphic updates to match the PC. Which is good.
Except some of us who deliberately removed mods and re-installed and all that...
find ourselves in that same awkward position from release dates. Weird fps, random crashing, stuttering, etc.,except now we don't have the third party fixes to fall back on.
If this BS doesn't show the higher ups at Microsoft how *cough cough- Inept Todd's tiny team of turfwads is...
You need to cap it at 60 fps. Go to your desktop settings, Display and set your monitor to 60hz refresh rate. And then make sure the game's resolution matches your monitor's.
