They still haven't fixed it. Many here will share their opinions on that if you ask,
but the basics are when you start up the game, go into your graphics settings, and turn off the checkbox.
Specifically, the option is in the loader prior to starting the game, not the game itself.
Fixed mine, in options when you start it, turn off weapon debris, and go from ultra to high.

At the same time, players reporting that even with next gen update and weapon debris ON their game is crashing on RTX cards. Go figure...
