Did the update break any major mods or F4SE?

Hey, did anyone ecounter issues with mods or engine plugins like buffout 4, F4SE etc?

Yes, F4SE is now broken and will not launch. From the website : "The 2024-04-25 Fallout 4 update (1.10.980 and later) has broken F4SE and the rest of the native code modding scene similarly to Skyrim's "Anniversary Edition" patch. I am working on an update and cannot currently offer a timeline for its availability, nor whether there will be any critical technical issues that would block an update. Do not email with questions."

Yes, F4SE author is on the ball and working on an update.

F4SE is designed to break with every update as a safety measure.

That is the case for all the games the script extender is available for.

It's why we use mod organizer and set up profiles. That way you still have a modded install separate from the main steamapps folder. Now you know for future.

Well there were plenty of warning here on the forum for a long time. I realise not everyone reads the forum though. I knew this was going to be a repeat of the chaos I saw on the skyrim forum a few months back when they decided to update skyrim se. The fallout (excuse the pun) is still being felt to this day,

Ok I just changed the setting to update when I launch the game and just gonna keep playing in Steam offline mode until mods (hopefully) get updated.

It definitely is on anything higher than the 1000 series Nvidia cards. I have Asus Tuf 3080ti and it crashes every time with that crap on.

if you update the creation kit, at most it will probably make it incompatible with the outdated version of the game.
meaning you shouldn't update it if you plan to use it, dont even if you never plan to use it.
