Fertilizer?

i'd like to get food at Starlight Drive Inn but there is no dirt so wanted to make some plots, how do i get fertilizer?

is it crafted or just scavenged?

The only source in the world is bags of fertilizer that you may find lying around here and there but they are not the most common thing in the world. Else, you can buy shipments of fertilizer in Abernathy farm, or generate some automatically when you have a brahmin in a settlement

Yeah, I'd buy and/or steal from Abernathy for a quick fix, but in the long run you want a bunch of brahmin traps

Brahmin at a settlement will desposit..... um.... fertilizer into the settlement workshop. At what rate, I don't know.

Whether you use contraption Brahmin traps or randomly encounter Kelly the Brahmin seller, thats the only surefire way to get a steady supply of fertilizer. Some settlements arleady have brahmin, so befriend (or "remove" them) and tap into their workshop supply.

It's pretty slow, like one fertilizer per brahmin a day or two days, so you'll need a million of em

There are dirt areas at Starlight Drive-in between the projector building and the edge of the build area toward the road coming in where the wrecked bus sits. if you have supply lines set up going to other settlements that produce excess food then you don't need to plant anything.

I always plant crops down my main building of the Starlight Drive in. I always use carrots so you can pack alot them in fairly small space.

i had no idea i could even farm Brahmin for fert so thank you!
gonna head back and see if i can find the small areas of dirt to start with.

i was able to buy 2 bags from Trudy after helping her out.

I seem to keep bumping into Kelly at Covenant for some reason, so you might fast travel there every so often. Still all random. I have a cache of like 3-4 brahmin in 6 hours of playing

Ally with gray garden and they have a ton of it.
