They never said it like a "promise". It was planned for a 2023 release. But ♥♥♥♥ happens and things get delayed. This is normal at any time in history.

By the way, expect the next gen update to rather come in the second half of this year. Fallout: London was delayed because of the Starfield release, and, Fallout: London will surely not be released at the same time or near the next gen update, so, I'd rather expect it to come later this year.

It would make sense, but, I still can't imagine the next gen update and Fallout: London released at the same time. Unless Fallout: London makes use of the next gen update.

You know, thinking about it... all being released in April, maybe they actually do release the next gen update then as well.

these updates are not relevant for pc players, they probably destroy a working setup.
i play my game with 4k settings and it works and looks great with all the existing mods and beautifications.

OP led you all astray by calling the next gen release "Graphics Update". The release is supposed to include -
- performance mode features for high frame rates
- quality features for 4K resolution gameplay
- bug fixes
- bonus Creation Club content!

FO76 released in 2018 was "next-gen" compared to FO4. It supports fps up to 150 or so before it locks up. The graphics are better than FO4. Image quality is better but the world design is realistic which makes for a massive improvement in gameplay. Improved streamlined game mechanics. Interesting plots. Interesting locations. Many buildings aren't interior locations but part of the exterior world so no loading wait for those. And you get rewards as you play, for example a skiing pose.

I think everyone knowing about the update knows that.

The frame rate increase would already be great for me though, as I really come to appreciate playing games in 144 Hz.

And, those are only the features they announced. Who knows if there won't be more in the update.

FO76 is the multiplayer mode that should have been shipped with FO4.
