Confused about F4SE download

Ok so I don't know if or where this may be answered, but every time I download the Extender it downloads as a single big Word document and not a series of Notepad documents in a folder. Is this supposed to happen? (I use Opera GX as my browser, if that makes a difference). Plz help.

There is no word document on the entire page. You download the 7z-archive for your game version and extract it as described in the readme.

That's the reason I'm here. I know that's not what's supposed to happen, and yet I get 1 Word document when I click on "7z-archive". If I could show you what I mean, I would.

It is possible that your browser is having a different interpretation on such links. Use rightmouse click and use "save as". Then in your download folder, rightmouse click the file and open it with 7-zip.

Do you have 7zip?

If you do not, you'll want it, it's way better than winzip or other archive formatters.

I've been using it for like. as long as it's existed, and it's really good.

You will use that to open the archived 7z files. That's the format that many places use, and it can open windows archives or other types as well as its own.

Once you have THAT downloaded and properly installed, you will use it to open the F4SE download.

I had to redownload everything including 7z since going over to windows 10 very recently :D

Good to know, and enjoy your unzipping .... that came out wrong :D
