Can someone explain to me how the pulse beacon from spectacle Island works in settlement attacks?
I know how the invasion system works in general:
-You got less security+ lots of food/water= you got invaded by random enemies.
-With dlc you can choose through the cages which enemies will spawn on those.
-More cages= more attacks.

So, then i have that pulse beacon. How it works?
It forces the attacks of mirelurks like a 0-1 switch, it enhances the probabilities of getting attacked by mirelurks or what? Maybe it can be enhanced with the cages? Sincerely, idk what exactly do this beacon.

To unlock the island for use as a settlement, the Sole Survivor must first go to the metal shack with the radio tower at the center of the island on top of a hill. The player must then go to the partially submerged boat to the south and flip the switch on the circuit breaker. If the circuit breaker aboard the ship is activated before the player goes to the tower, and/or before the player later returns to the ship for further exploration, bugs may be triggered (see below).

Once the circuit breaker aboard the ship is turned on, it will cause the screen to shake, and a mirelurk queen and several other leveled mirelurks will emerge.

To finish the settlement unlocking process, one must return and flip the circuit breaker on the radio tower. After a few seconds, this will send a sonic pulse that will drive all remaining mirelurks to the shores of the island. It is not necessary to kill the queen, as she is affected by this pulse as well. The workshop will then unlock, and one will be able to build at any point on the island.

Thanks for the tip about how to obtain the settlement, but im asking about the attacking settlement mechanic and how it works with the pulse beacon after you obtained the settlement.
If i turned off i guess it will make the mirelurks come back, but does it increase the chances of getting attacked in general? or only with mirelurks? the wikia doesnt say ♥♥♥♥ about that :/

It doesn't help at all as far as I know, beyond "numbers" if the system shows up as Defense in your pipboy/workshop bar with a positive number even if you haven't added any other defenses.

The defense system for settlements is literally just a numbers game. What things you put in rarely makes a difference except if you put things that will also break crops or injure your settlers (explosive, incindiary).

I always remove it because I level the whole place with scrapall anyway. If there is a creature spawn, it's going to spawn with or without that feature as far as I know.

Spectacle Island. I don't like it. I scrap all that I can and use the materials for other settlements. Kill the Queen for experience and the meat. Then never go back.

Just my opinion on that settlement. Since the OP already got his answer.
