Random CTD
I started playing the game again using a clean version (no mods) of the game with only the DLC and I keep getting random CTD while playing. Any idea what is causing this?

Did u disable weapon debris? No.1 cause of CTD

If you're using an Nvidia graphics card the game should default to having weapon debris disabled, which is a graphic setting you can find in the launcher. If you enable that you'll get crashes.

I show that weapon debris is turned off.

Give the game another 10 years.. maybe modders will have figured out how to fix the game by then.

Hmm then i cant help, any further, sorry, perhaps some-one else can. Could all-way's try the FO4 unofficial patch, i think it's been updated.

Could be damn near anything. I’m sorry but your lack of any info will hinder any help. Background apps running? System specs? Maybe look into installing a crash logger (mod) to help narrow down culprits?

Are you running the game higher than 60 fps? Cap it at 60 on your video card suite.

Are you trying to run the game on a massive widescreen or some odd resolution? Don't, select something smaller.

Since you don't give any other information, it's impossible to tell whether your game is ever going to run right.

Did it run right BEFORE the update? On that exact computer?

And when you say "only the dlc" - are you also running the High Rez texture pack? THROW THAT to the CURB. remove it, try again.

I removed the high res texture pack and still getting the ctd. It did work on this same rig a while back until an update before the next gen one. As for the resolution it only show the 2560x1080 of my monitor and will not let me change it. I'm running on a Ryzen 5 3600 cpu, RTX 2080 graphic with 16Gb ram.

Mine does that from time to time, and sometimes it will crash repeatedly in the same places during a quest or upon entering an area. I usually verify game files and it stops for a few days then starts again. I don't know the root cause and I obviously don't have a valid, long term solution, but so far that's kept me going. The bummer is you have to save often or you risk losing a bit of progress when it resumes crashing.

Assuming you are using the current fully updated Steam version of FO4 (and noting you are not using any external mods), NVIDIA driver version 31.0.15.5123 (package 551.23) has been running flawless for me with max settings (to the degree I'm not in a hurry to update anymore, but I'm using a GTX 1080). What driver version are you using?
the game just crashes randomly, just keep saving lots of. there is so many bugs and glitches and clipping stuffs that go trough walls

Your game needs to be capped to 60 fps more than likely.
it is, or it wouldnt work at all, things would be out of sync

Indeed, textures don't cause CTD and you won't be having any bad mesh problems with the official DLC.

When you have an 8GB video card and someone says "uninstall your textures" for troubleshooting a nine year-old game you should ignore it. Especially when the textures are an official DLC and not a mod.

I hope you backed that up before you removed, or whoever recommended that just cost you a lengthy re-download to put it back.
