Experimental MIRV but only a single mini-nuke
If I have a Fat Man with the Experimental MIRV mod and 2-shot Legendary effect but I only have one mini-nuke, will it fire as if I had the correct amount of ammo or will it just launch the one mini-nuke?

What if I just had the 2-shot Legendary effect and one mini-nuke? Would the 2-shot work?

Ok, I tried it and got a notification "missing required ammo." It gave me the correct animation for an experiment MIRV with 2-shot but I guess it didn't give me the damage beyond the single mini-nuke.

The two shot effect only uses a single piece of ammo when it fires. The experimental MIRV modification should do the same as well. As far as I am aware, other than the laser musket there is no weapon that consumes more than 1 ammo per shot.

I don't know about NG, but MIRV was always requiring only 1 mini-nuke to launch the full volley. I guess they broke that with the update. Not surprised though.

Basically: pre-NG you shoot 1 mini-nuke out of "Big Boy" modded with MIRV and you get 12 explosions. This is "balanced" by the fact that the range on it is pathetic rendering it completely unusable in all situations save when you stand 4-5 stories above the enemies in the pit right next to you (like Dunwich Bores).
