Why are the spacesuits in Nuka-World quest items?
I just returned to sanctuary to toss all my hundreds of pounds of scrap, weapons, and armor as usual and I noticed I can't put away the space suits I got in nuka-worlds "vault tec among the stars" attraction because they are a quest item. What quest are they for? I don't remember having a quest to acquire space suits and I want to drop 78 pounds worth of space suit costumes.

Yes you missed a quest on the Nukaworld map.

Because they forced in zany, wacky nonsense from FO2 that never should have existed into a DLC that never should have existed for the sake of member berries that they can then milk in the next Fallout game.

God forbid any 'zany, whacky' goings on should exist within a Fallout game.
Captain Serious has spoken. We must be serious, very, very serious. No jests, no fun stuff, no exaggerated scenarios.
Just an ice-cold, realistic, no-holds-barred, forensic examination of what life would be like after a nuclear conflict - just as the Fallout series has always been.

The church of Scientology disliked that

Well, i think he points more out that bethesda has such a low ammount of own ideas for their stuff that they recycle even more or less interesting stuff from previous games.

The hubologists where ok in fo2 as they have the double meaning from "The Hub" and at the same moment L. Ron Hubbard (founder of scientology) and bridged the questgap how to get fuel for the container ship. In Nuka World they are just an unfitting copy smashed somewhere in the desert for.....for whatever, because they where in fallout 2 and they needed something falloudish, what do i know how bethesdas writers think......

Nonsense. If Quest items could be sold or dropped, you would see a bunch of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ over it being possible.

The quest for the Space Suits, is not a long one anyway and can be completed without even doing the second stage of the quest if you want.

Don't pick up those suits, you have to finish the quest to get rid of them.
Don't pick up holotags and stuff from dead BOS left behind by Paladin Brandis to cover his bee-hind as he ran for the bunker.. you can't get rid of those either.

That was not his point, but that´s unimportant. Clever solved there would be an automatic to let quest related items respawn at their origin until a quest got solved. Or that quest items get colored different before picking up so you know that you will have to solve a quest for the stuff hanging around in your inventory. How mad i got when i suddenly had that silver shroud stuff in my inventory i could not get rid of years ago.

Just took a look and there seems no mod available for recoloring quest related item text, might have a look into the creation kit later.....
