I remember looting around Lexington.. got overloaded. Base was Red Rocket at the time. When i became overburdened I dumped a bunch of crap into one of the shopping carts that are laying around there, then just picked up the shopping cart, with all the crap in it, and ran it back to base lol

It works.

Wow. Using a dead body as a container is innovative.

Don't take it all in one trip?
Set up settlements linked by supply lines with a farmer and a provisioner.
Use a cheat mod like the one where you load up a trunk and put a market on it then a settler comes and hauls it for SS (no settler, it just auto-magically shows up in a settlement workshop)
Use the Pip Boy Storage cell mod? Tardis Mod?
Or... stop picking up junk, water farm, and then buy "shipments" from vendors.

yeah i keep carrying only important things to do it faster, i eventually need to get the rest and 'the rest' is a lot..

I looted general atomics galleria, guess how many bowling balls i have.. tons. and bowling pins.. those are just a few things.. steel and wood cache.. like 4-5k each damn.

Using dead body parts just works but they have and active area, they eventually despawns while carrying. i dont wanna leave my valuable junks all across the settlements.. i dont even keep them in workshop ;) can be looted during attacks..

I need either a way to this or a phone number of a psychiatrist

I'll do some tries..

Dutchman and Helena at bedford station. never saw them despawned.

I just need a part of a brain ;) I hope it works.

If you dont mind temporarily "cheating" you can do this command to modify your carry weight

player. setav carryweight x

Supply lines are a good method; it requires not using charisma as a dump stat though. Another method is dump all the junk on settlers, then move the settlers to the new base.

I do use supply lines, still i need a base to hold my every junks. other settlements just use them. so i still have to move my junks to my latest settlement, where i am present.

I did some research and foundout what's really going on with corpses..

1) Any body part which was taken from a body simply returns to its body when you go too far with it (by dragging)
2) Carrying a full body is okay, but slow. STILL there are some issues with this method.

2.1) If a body is a generic npc (unnamed, like a raider) then it may and will despawn (permanently, puff) and you lose everything it holds.

2.2) If an npc is a named npc then there are two conditions;

>> If it was dead from the beginning (named one, like Helena or Dutchman) AND they are a PART of a CELL, then they wont despawn but they go back to that cell (to its initial position) at cell resets.. Items will stay.

>> If it is not a part of a cell.. like companions, or settlers (still not sure about settlers) they dont go back to their cells on cell resets.. since they dont belond to one.

Safest container: a Named NPC but isn't dead initially.
Like Marcy :D She will never despawn, or never return to a cell.. So I can kill her and carry all my stuff with her, and keep her corpse on my latest settlement.. like a vehicle :D

it's a struggle, even more so as one gets older

There is a sanctioned mod called Salvage Beacons you might want to check out. It allows you to dump stuff into a container then drop in a salvage beacon. Upon closing the container you are asked which settlement to send all the stuff to. Great for transferring stuff between settlements and sending stuff to your home base when out looting. You will need to craft a Comm Station and assign a settler to it, They listen for the salvage beacon signal then go retrieve your stuff and bring it back.

Put your junk into the junk jet or don't move your base and build multiple outposts.

Join Brotherhood of Steel and call a Vertibird, it will then fly you wherever you want, no matter how overloaded you are.

Well there is proper ways and cheesy ways.

Proper Way #1
Grab everything, drop the heavy stack of steel, wood or concrete on the ground. Grab the stack and hold it in the air. Now RUN.

Proper Way #2
As above except drop those heavy stacks into a shopping cart, now grab the shopping cart and push, careful not to let the stuff slide out.

Proper Way #3
As mentioned before use a corpse.

Proper way #4
Assign a provisoner from a settlement you own to the empty settlement.

Cheesy way #1
Open workbench, click Take all
COC settlement technicalname (COC sunshinetidingsext)

Vertibird is the way to go if you're talking about weapons and armor and such. Stuff that you don't want to stick in the workbench. It'll carry you wherever you need no matter how much you're carrying.

If it's tin cans and screwdrivers and such, just leave it in the workbench and set up a supply line.
