yeah i will try that too, i been trying to fix for like 2-3 hours
In other words you have too many mods doing the same thing. For example:
Scrap Everything will add those houses as an object.
Rebuild Sanctuary will add the houses as an object.
By the way, flicking just doesnt work in a screenshot....
i know the screen shot was showing the 2 models, the old ruined one and the new prewar one, i looked through all my mods not sure what will be adding the ruined model but ill double check it all thank you
I cannot get more specific without seeing a mod list.
https://imgur.com/a/0A3lRwH
thats my mod list if you have time could you see id you can see the problem causing mod please
First issue:
Spring Cleaning
Rebuild Collection Shared Resources (req for her other Rebuild mods)
Rebuild Sanctuary
Prewar walled Sanctuary
Rebuild Sanctuary prewar
Rebuild Sanctuary No repair
Rebuild Modular Sanctuary
I would start by disabling these one at a time to see which of these is generating the extra model. First one to disable would be spring cleaning. Simply load your game (ignore the missing mod message) and take a look, then exit WITHOUT saving (Alt F4.) If you find the culprit
Second issue:
Infinite building budget
This is unnecessary since you are using Workshop Framework, that allows you to increase budgets in increment. This makes it easier to maintain a 300-400% between Sanctuary, Red Rocket, Abernathy to avoid breaking your save due to overbuilding the three of them combines, aka "The Triangle of Doom/Death" Unfortunately disablign it for your current save will not work because all it did was ran some console commands (you could have used yourself.)
Third issue:
War of the Commonwealth
This is a VERY heavy script mod, on top of that it aint been updated in like 8 years. It does not play well with other script heavy mods like Sim Settlements 2. I know there is better mods out there doing similar, just dont know what they are since they always seem to conflict with Sim Settlements 2 and Horizon, or just creates a script heavy game doomed to be a brick.
I think only those who really know how to manage script editing still even bother to use it, and even then they have to constantly go through ending scripts to keep the save bloating down.
First recommendation:
You have Rebuild Shared Resources and Rebuild Sanctuary, but not the other mods she made. I would recommend her all in one that does a whole bunch of settlements. I started using her Rebuild collection earlier this week and it is a really nice mod. Some of the others like Taffington Boathouse, Egret Marina, and Sunshine Tidings are really nice. Also her Castle one would make mods rebuilding the wall unnecessary.
Second recommendation:
Collections kinda suck because the majority of them out there were made by clueless people that just threw a bunch of mods in a pile and said "Hey download my @#$% collection." Prime example being Workshop Framework allowing you to manage build limits making the other mod unnecessary combined with the fact uncapping building budgets in the triangle is bad. Then as I said, using SS2 and WotC together is just asking for trouble late game.
I get why people use collections because hunting down mods and testing them out is a LONG process. The problem is most do not test their own collections.
okay ill write it out for you if that helps and how do i get load order on vortex to show you?
i tried disabling the mods you said in issue one but nothing seemed to fix the 2nd model issue.
also thank you for helping so much i really appreciate it.
Try disabling all of them at the same time?
I meant disabling all those settlements ones together, but hey that works too, lol.
That is the other thing, trouble shooting a huge mod list all at once sucks crap through a silly straw. Most of us veterans create our "collections" by testing mods for a while and only a few at a time.
Anyways though, you should check out the Rebuild All in One though. I found it to be well worth it.
yeah i deffo will, thank you for all your help with this really helped me out. really confused why my pistol mod ruined my sanctuary i love that mod haha was my favourite weapon i found so far.
I know I'm a lil late with this. But you have to also install her Rebuild Previsiblines Combine Patch too and make sure it's last on your load order. That resolved it for me, and may allow you to get your pistol mod back.
Apparently it was not last like it was supposed to be.
Which could explain some of the CTDs I had near Sanctuary (CTD at checkpoint battle at Vault 111) and Jamaica Plains area, which is also most like due to being overbuilt (especially JP at like 1100%...)
