the lack of animation is due to the update, most likely due too the increased speed, I suspect if u capped it back to 60, the effect would come back.
I dont have ANY outside MODS for Fallout 4, an my animation is gone too
I don't use any outside source mods ether. And I have the game capped at 60 fps. So you make a good point. I do have some CC weapons, but they all seem to be functioning normal.
All my other CC weapons work aok too, it's just that weapon that seems affected, which is really odd..
Creation Club is a distribution mechanism not some guaranteed-to-work source of mods. They are vary in quality and functionality same as any source of mods.
I too would suspect uncapped framerate messing up anim timings, but you'd have other glitches too, dialogues running concurrently or cutting off instantly, subtitles not displaying, can't jump, have to open doors multiple times to make them actually open, etc.
But it's also GPU and .ini settings. For YEARS many AMD users were flabbergasted when they finally discovered Glowing Ones actually emitted glow, and their skin was animated, even after you made em dead. Their DX11 support just didn't like they way the Nvidia-tuned game did it, but eventually the drivers caught up.
Also things like god mode mess this stuff up, if you're running around with 'tgm' toggled. It animates once then never again til you switch away and back. Happens with stock weapons too, like the laser musket, where the laser glow gets brighter each crank. Fire a shot, it turns off, then will never glow again, til you switch weapons or disable god mode.
It should also be mentioned that the MODS from CC make no use of F4ske, where as many other MOD'S do.
POF even dropping the BFG from my inventory, equipping a new weapon, then picking up an re-equiping the BFG, hasent made the charge animation reappear
