SteamDeck play not working with Fallout 4
I started with a brand new game and the steamdeck is unable to play this game. After some time or when you go into an interior structure it lags right now. I have no mods but have creation club content and all DLC's.

Fallout 4 normally runs great on steam deck so something is up with your game. Are you using the HD Texture pack DLC? If so that would be likely the problem as they went out of their way to make to run horrible because they partnered with Nvidia who wanted to sell their new 1080 gpu at the time.

Wait, what if you have mods installed etc, does that affect steam deck? Like if you are using vortex for example. Does deck recognize that?

So with mods you need to use a mod manager so you can enable the mods and set the load order but yes Steam Deck works great with Skyrim and Fallout mods. Another thing you need to do is you rename the Script Extender exe to Fallout4Launcher.exe so the game starts wtih it enabled.

Tons of videos on how to mod games on Steam Deck.

btw last patch broke Fallout 4 modding, namely modding NPCs, so i would advise using one of the popular roll back options to before that last round of patching.
