Can't get to Nakano residence
Hey i was wondering if anyone know why I can't get to the Nakano residence to go to Far harbor. On Steam it shows I have the Season Pass which includes ALL DLC's also shows I have it in my Library but the map boarder will not let me get to the residence to do the part where I "Travel to the Nakano residence" part of the Quest "Far For Home". I have done the pre quests to get the Quest to do it and all the steps up to going there. lease help I just can't figure it out.

Do you have the DLC installed?

Because I do, and even without starting the quest I can visit the Nakano residence just fine.

IF the map boarder is not letting you get there, that tells me that either the DLC is not installed, or you have a SERIOUS issue in the game!

If its installed... verify files through Steam... and see what happens.

It is usually caused by a mod that puts back the invisible walls back that the Far Harbor DLC removed

@Nitemares How can I tell if it is downloaded I have'n't played the game for a long while Just started up after I watched the Show and felt the need to reinstall the game and play. Though I am not all that tech savvy any tips would be helpful.

Right click the game in your library > properties > DLC

yep. do this.

If there is no "check mark" next to the DLC, its not installed. click the box, and wait for the download and you're golden.

not aware of a mod that does this... (I know of some mods that move the boundaries OUT, but not it....). Are you suggesting a mod conflict?

Do you know of a mod example that I could take a look at... might help me in a project I am working on.

The mods did not do this on purpose. They mistakenly included records that they should not have

Modder edits a cell and either keeps the border in or does an unwanted change on it (if you ever modded with the creation kit you would know how fast this can happen) without recognizing - zoom, you have a border in a mod and can´t reach nakano anymore.

bugs.

thank you...
Gives me some code to look at to see if I can use for a project.. too bad I am looking for a faulty code interaction for the idea... my skills may not be up for that task yet.

yea a Dirty edit.. see this all the time.

trying to get an invisible fence set up for a mod to limit the player's movement on the map under certain conditions, the "out of bounds" trigger has a few nice hooks to use to trigger an event, just need to figure out a way to set the boundaries, change them, and move them as I need for the project.... And it may not even be doable.

Everybody jumps to the mods or using console commands or whatever? But nobody asked if you're going there properly what I mean is you need to stick right next to the beach and follow it you can't go over land that's where you run into the invisible walls just saying Don't get over complicated and Watch out at some of the replies you get you could end up screwing up Something that wasn't screwed up.

You have to go along the coast line to get there. I made the mistake of trying to head there from inland and you hit the borders of the map. I think I started from Coastal Cottage once I established that settlement.

I has a check next to it so it seems it is installed the only mods I am running is ( scrap all things), ( Better Sanctuary Settlements), ( Powerful Pylons), and (Advanced Armor Systems). Not sure but Codsworth was bugged at the beginning and I looked it up and I found the Creation Club stuff bugs him out so the recommended to cut out the Club content to get the quests going them come back and verify the files and they would be replaced like it was before

I went along the coastline got to a broken up picked fence and got the message you can't go that way the buildings were not there either or maybe they didn't render IDK I even tried to swim on the coastline still the same
