How to spawn random encounter merchants?
I got doc anderson. Bartender guy spawned very begging of the game. And then there is none of them spawning. I finished the main story. The area near Cambridge police station doesnt spawn random encounter anymore. Is there a good spot spawning for random encounters? And yeah, i finished automatron story too, so no rust devils. Thanks in advance...

first of all, rust devils will continue spawning in random encounters even after completion of mechanist questline. and with a huge percentage like 50% of every random encounters.

and another good random encounter point is the valley near tenpines bluff, under the ropebridge. but approach there from bedrock station, you will get a small pause as soon as you enter the valley, that means something spawned just ahead.

good luck

Its a toss a coin job and usually its tails, not heads lol especially if you have done automatron, or you find them too early and wont meet the conditions to recruit them.

You can spawn them in using the console at any settlement you want them, if you meet the conditions and then assign them to a prebuilt shop, rather than trying to find them in a random encounter.

If you want to go that route look it up on how to do it.
There are random encounter areas all over the map. The campfires near Concord. The dam west of Gray garden. The crossroads north of Drumlin Diner. Where the road turns to go along the river in Cambridge. The crossroads south of Diamond City. The rail bridge southeast of Starlight Drive Thru. These are just some of the easier ones to find.

Thank you, I'll give it a shot. Also I found a console command for reducing spawning rust devils. Not zero, but very low, very effective.

Thank you as well, I'll check them.

Yeah, the bartender guy was too early, i didnt even know '4lv trader' thing. Console command spawning is not okay for me :'s
I got ownership of a PA right after killing owner, or stealing and taking a safe spot with commands. Bc I think thats what it needs to be happen. But, not spawning with console.
But appreciate your efforts, thank you as well...

Which merchant you're after will affect what kind of random encounter you'll need. Ron Staples (the food/bar merchant) will be a campfire location just like Doc Anderson was, while the Scribe and Smiling Larry will be road encounters.

One location I like for the road encounters is at the south-east corner of Diamond City. If you pass along Diamond City's southern edge past the junkyard with the feral dogs, and head up its east side, you'll find a short set of stairs leading up to a road that runs past the library. If you save at the bottom of the stairs, running up them should trigger a road encounter coming from the north or south.

there are Global Variables which hold the percentage & attack state of robot random encounters, if they are set properly you can control them as you want.. strangely game leaves attack chance at 50% even after completing the Mechanist questline. maybe they just forgot about it..

--------------------------------
> Initial values:
DLC01REPercentChance = 0
DLC01RobotAttacksActive = 0

> While Mechanist is active:
DLC01REPercentChance = 50
DLC01RobotAttacksActive = 1

> After the Automatron:
DLC01REPercentChance = 50
DLC01RobotAttacksActive = 1
--------------------------------

You can turn off attacks either by "set DLC01RobotAttacksActive to 0" or "set DLC01REPercentChance to 0". Alternatively you can set percentage change to a lower value to make it more natural, like 2 or 5 percent of all REs..

Hey man, sorry to bother you again. But I cant find a library near diamond city. Can you be more specific?
More or less straight east into downtown from the north wall of DC.
@Zes very helpful, thanks.

I found a good place for campfire spawns, whoever needs and click here. Weldon Pond. I found doctor and Ron Staples here. Federal Radiation Stockpile or Arcjet Systems is where to start. Walk to Weldon Pond. There is a very close campfire here to spawn. But there is a stone hedge from cars, and a behemoth, take a hard save there (just go to main menu, its create a exit save and yes, it is a hard save). If you find raiders or another something you dont need, load the hard save and try again...
