F4SE is working as intended not all mods have been updated thou a lot already have.
Out of curiosity do you use LOOT and FEdit?

the manual installation failed , so I tried installing /thru nexus . I don't know what I did wrong , the whole exercise turned into the '' delete and reinstall the game '' thing . s now I'm leaving it for few months before i try this again when hopefully I can make some sense of this .

the piss of of all this , my game was set up not update itself , so when the first update came
thru , i was OK . what I didn't expect was a motherboard failure on a 7 year old laptop ,
forcing me to end up buying a high-end MSI laptop so now I'm dealing with a new W11 laptop as well as sorting out this game , and then SOMEONE throws an UPDATE into the mix ? .

For now I'm sticking to mods that don't require F4SE ,for a while......

I finally found what I did wrong . To quote a common catch phrase from the 1980's , '' If you to tune your VCR ( older people will get this reference ) , find a teenager to do it for you ''

All i did wrong was , i'd forgotten to to use 7 zip to ''unpack '' to the F4SE files before dropping the files into the .ini files where the exe is . It's probably old age creeping in ( well i
61 yrs old ) and been quite a few years since I've had to set up a laptop from scratch . I did have notes on the old laptop on how set up this game but the m/Board gone , I couldn't start up the pile of #### to extract the notes .

Anyway the teenager that fixed it ( and earned $50 for doing it ) , so all's right in the world
'til the next problem occurs .
