/help/ Can’t join the Brotherhood of Steel

when I got to the point where I could join the Brotherhood I went straight to the police station and went ahead and killed all of the Ghouls. But when I tried talking to the recruitment officer he just keeps on saying his fighting dialogue. What do I do?

This is a classic one. there could still be a ghoul stuck somewhere in the background building, There are other solutions which I' m sure other will know better than me cos I can't remember.

It's a glitch, I've seen it many times. I bet there's a way to fix it with console commands.
I take it as a sign from god that SS should murder Danse and his last two squad members.
