Long loading times
Getting some pretty long loading times, even just going from the Root Cellar back to Sanctuary, seems to be a more going outside thing. I have creation club stuff, and only a few mods through the game menu, the vast majority of which are just weapons. What should I do to reduce the load times, they're kind of ridiculous. Thanks!

Damn, sorry to hear that. I gotta say that aside from Sony crippling mods, Console FO4 is really great on load times and performance after the next gen update. Feels like PC is still suffering though.

I found hitting the menu button, then closing it, made the game load faster.

but now im using a mod to fix it.

Did you use any kind of fps limiter? I noticed my loading times are much longer if i limit my fps.

What mod is that, if you don't mind?

I'm not aware of having any FPS limiter, I do use the Nvidia Geforce Experience app for driver updates and optimizing, I wonder if that could potentially do something like that

I also keep getting this thing where menu backgrounds aren't alligned with the menus themselves. Never a peaceful day with bethesda games lol

Use Load Accelerator. My loading times between instances went from 2-3 minutes to 5-10 seconds.

I use 'High FPS Physics Fix" mod off nexus. Takes a bit of setting up, (read the instructions and take the time to go thru the provided .ini file for custom settings) but it unlocks animations from the frame rate and it does things like limiting the fps to 60 automatically when lockpicking so it still works properly. I now run at up to 165 fps and load times are 5 sec or less.

Thanks! That mod was last updated a while ago, are there any major issues with it? I was also looking at this one which is much more current if you know anything about it.

Thanks for the info! I'll def check that out right now. Proooobably not the best idea to mix nexus and game menu mods? But if its just 1 for performance it should be fine. All my in game mods are just guns anywho

No issues. The two files go directly into your FO4 game installation folder.

Goated, thanks! I'll check it out. Would it work with the High FPS Physics Fix, you think?

You don't need both, High FPS Physics Fix already accelerates the loading process.

About this mod

Untie the game speed from the framerate. Fixes physical bugs. Reduces loading time.

An update, I've been using this mod and my current loads are like 30 seconds-ish with this mod, https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/44798 with some occasional crashes. Thinking about how I can improve them, they're annoying loading times. Wondering if it could be from in-game menu mods? But they're all just weapon mods really so they can't be that taxing
