Ultrawide Fix
So, I have recently bought and started using a 3440x1440 ultrawide monitor, and I realized Fallout 4 doesn't really cover it. I tried installing Truby9's Widescreen, but I don't believe it worked, probably because I did something wrong. I really wanna play Fallout 4 with this thing, but it's getting really frustrating trying to do so. Any help would be appreciated!

I had a mod working but it was a while back. It fixed a few screen problems. I am currently waiting for the next gen version to come out before I play ultra wide again. It will be a free updatewithin the next 2 months as a guess.

Truby9's mod works just fine. I installed it with Vortex and it worked out-of-the-box. How did you install it and are there any other mods you are using? Especially when you use mods that modify the display/HUD will you have to look for compatibility patches and check if each mod has some fixes for other mods included with their installation.

I don't use MODS to fix mine. Simple number changes and I'm done.
Add it to your Notes in the Fallout 4 Library Window for future.

Back up(copy/paste) the ini files and the Fallout 4 Save folder in Documents before you do anything.
I accidentally started a New Game while the screen was in mega zoomed in mode while testing mine at first... a back up saved me.

Two files i change the Resolution in. The files are here.
[C:\Users\YOU\Documents\My Games\Fallout4\] > Fallout4prefs.ini
And
[X:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout 4\Fallout4] > Fallout4prefs.ini
I open them with NotePad++. Notepad will do.

Look for these lines and change them. Yours should look like this when finished.
bBorderless=1
bFull Screen=1
iSize H=1440
iSize W=3440

Then Save the changes. Not Save As.
File > Save then File > Exit.

I then make the files Read-Only.
Right click the Fallout4prefs.ini file and Select Properties.
In the Pop up Window on the General tab tick Read-only Hit Apply and OK for both files.

Load the Fallout 4 Launcher and check the Options. The resolution box should be blank.
Click Play.

You can search how to re-scale the Workshop UI if it doesn't fit to your'e liking but at 3440 it won't look as extreme as my 5760x1080.
I know the menus so it doesn't bother me. Might put off a new player..
The game it'self is perfect, Pip Boy is perfect, the Workshop/Build UI needs work.

If you open the game up through GeForce Experience it will open up in ultrawide.
A buddy figured this out tonight.
