i forgot..is this online only?
Havent played in a while. I cant remember if you needed internet connection to play. I want to play with nexus mods. i dont need to be online to load FO4 correct? im aware i can tweak load order with a txt file in the game directory but cant remember if there was some issues with total offline mode.

reason: i am quitting playing any and all games that require you to be online, connected to a server etc.. its just BS.

If you have to be online to use a mod, I would never ever use that mod in any case!

You can play any single player game on Steam without being connected to the internet. Just select offline when it asks you to login.

And no, Fallout 4 is not a online only game.

Fallout 4 has never been an 'online' game.

Fallout 76 on the other hand, IS an always-online game.

untrue...totally bad information. many games(rdr2 for example( require an online activity connection at least once per week. other games straight up require online for unlocking anything such as any Hitman game...i could go on... please get more informed.

Guys...im asking if my mods will essentially load if not online as the main menu used to/maybe still has a greyed out mods tab when offline. does this prevent NEXUS/MANUAL INSTALLED MODS from working?
you can run your mods in offline mode no prob. I do it all the time with MO2.

The mods tab in the game has nothing to do with Nexus and their mods. It goes to Bethesda and their mod section. And no, you do not need to be online to use mods.

You don't need a connection to run any Nexus mods either, so there's that. You only need to be able to download them, so if you've got that part... you're good to go.

I took my windows 7 version of Steam offline before diving into 10, and "technically speaking" I could return to launching that version of windows, offline, and still play (if I hadn't already archived my last game lol). It's fine offline.
