So "Innocent" is not appropriate word here since they are trained killers that just went AWOL. Friendly or not they are anything but innocent.
Still it looks like typical shenanigans with Radiant quest picking random location from a DLC instead Commonwealth when it clearly shouldn't.
Didn't Desdemona tell you something like "you will kill whoever we tell you to kill, without question?" when she interviewed you? She certainly told you she expects you to sacrifice your life, so that toasters can have their personalities destroyed by the TLF, and have to live inside their faked personalities.
That's worth murdering an unlimited number of humans, surely?
If not, the door's that way, through the sewer and past the super secret door that has a password of "Password".
;-)
Well, if they have turned away from their evil ways , they are innocent of still doing them.
And yeah, crazy to get a quest from them which sends you to Nuka World before you even reach the level you get the quest to go there. No way I am going to attempt the Gauntlet run at level 15 on very hard play.
The main reason I go with the Railroad early on, is to get the Deliverer and the Ballistic Weave. After that, my goal is to stick with the Minutemen. Which in my opinion, is the only "good" faction in the game.
In terms of "good" it's more of a mutual benefit thing for the Minutemen, since members expect to benefit from the shared defense.
The Railroad's the most purely "good" faction in a moral sense, since they're trying to help someone else without aiming to gain a personal benefit from it (mindwipes are questionable as a method of protection but the intent to help is still there).
Getting Dunmore Homestead as a target seems kind of wonky there.
Shawn: pweeze go get this renegade synth, to save the poor wittle peoples of the Commonwealth, it's hurting them, it's so MEAN! Think of the poor peoples!
SS: fine no worries, I'll kill Gabriel, problem solved.
Shawn: ah actually no we just want our asset back intact. It's worth more than any humans lives. So murder whoever gets in your way but bring our property back in one piece.
SS. Fine, I get it. I'm Kellogg 2.0. Where's my 500 caps blood money. Yep I'm your murder-♥♥♥♥♥ now.
Even Shawn doesn't bloody lecture you for the privilege of saving his doomed, futile and evil operation, like Desdemona does. Constantly.
They could also be inspired by the Symbionese Liberation Army of the 1970s - basically, rich kids with guns dressing up as spies and soldiers and playing at "saving the oppressed".
Shaun: We care, just not about raiders. We'd kind of like our dangerous property back, though.
But he immediately handwaves it as merely unfortunate if the synth gets destroyed.
They are still not innocent and never will be. They did murders and possibly other atrocities in the past and that will be never taken away.
While its admirable that they had enough of those Gunner psychos and left to lead a peaceful life and its not fair to just kill them since they didnt do any wrong to SS or RR still doesnt make them "innocent" tho.
Think of it like this. Example: MCready aswell as your character arent innocent either both of you have blood on your hands regardless whos, that will never wash away.
"Innocence is life's greatest illusion."
