My favorite
Probably the least demanding one too. Makes the Commonwealth more foresty overall. A few glitches and dirty edits though.
Also be sure to read the "how to install" section and for good god above do the .INI edits it tells you to do .
In order to get lush and dense looking forest, like in the screenshots, you must add the line "bUseCombinedObjects=0" to the GENERAL section in your Fallout4.ini
-from the mod page.
Isn't that disabling precombines? If so I recall that being a very bad idea for performance. Though I suppose most tree mods are going to hurt a bit. Thanks for the suggestion I shall take a look. :)
A Forest is worth getting. I use it with an old version of BNS and an edited version of Autumn Overhaul.
A Forest was taken off nexus due to mod thievery. It's new home is a discord mentioned on Adshield's user profile on nexusmods. I believe the owner is a steam curator.

It isn't over the top and feels like it should be in the vanilla game. Changes the overall mood of the game to not be completely hopeless. Easy to use, no FPS drop and the Commonwealth still feels like a wasteland, just not a completely barren one. Love this one.
The winter files make it feel 100% differently and pairs well with the christmas mods
same for autumn and halloween mods
summer and spring mods just for overall feeling every other day.
It works well with True Grass for a "200 years since the war" level of greenery. True Grass basically puts grass objects on every flat texture that depicts grass (which can result in some weird placement,) but it is also kind of a frame rate killer unless you do some tweaking.
