I don't remember exact multipliers but what you found is either correct or very close to it. Point is; you need to play carefuly below level 30-35
I also have super mutants redux mod that makes them WAAY harder to kill.
For PA take Bastion mod - https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/75184
Works both ways so be careful.
For me raiders are huge 'meh' - only SM can be problematic.
Get as much armor rating as possible.
Both are correct. Some give the multipliers based on how they relate to the Very Hard difficulty multipliers, others give the multiplies based on Normal Difficulty.
Very Hard causes the player to deal 0.5x damage, while the NPCs deal 2x damage. Survival Mode changes that to the player dealing 0.75 damage (which is 1.5x Very Hard) and NPCs dealing 4x damage (or 2x Very Hard). So both sets of numbers are correct, you just need to read closer to make sure what they are using as their base.
(Edit: Technically, I think the multipliers for Very Hard and Survival Mode are the same. Survival Mode just also applies a perk to the player that further modifies the numbers into what is said above.)
One must be a very good gamer to come to this conclusion. In the beginning, even the molerats at Red Rocket were a challenge for me on survival. The wild dogs between Sanctuary and Abernathy Farm killed me, so I did not go for the bloatflies. I needed several attempts to finish the three raiders east of Sanctuary. I'm old though.
Sir SmokeALot, just try it out. On survival, FO4 becomes a whole different game. You need to proceed with care and plan things. No more F5/F9 and head through the wall.
I like it.
It's not that hard to get Adrenaline Rush to 50%. Once you do, you are doing considerable more damage than on Very Hard. I one shot the boss at the end of the Nuka World Gauntlet in one run on Survival. Had the Rush up to 50%. Convinced me.
I just hate the other restrictions on Survival. They make the game less fun for me. And I gave Survival a fair enough trial to make sure. Got to level 71. No glitches, no reverting back to normal, the back to Survival, etc. Combat over all, is easier on Survival versus Very Hard from my experience.
In Outer Worlds, switching the difficulty from survivor mode will not allow you to switch it back.
adamantium bones are a good contender for fast maxing when you dont use PA. without a PA or this maxed perk your most later deaths are by loosing a limp.
and a last tip is strong back 4, without that the broken legs (and by that lost mobility) by overencumbrance are a good way to die too (its not documented in the perks description that you need strong back 4 to prevent the leg dmg, but it does. even the adamantium bones on the other side dont prevent this encumbrance legbreaking)
The Fallout 4, no you can't. Once Survival Mode is disabled, you can't turn it back on again. There is a console command (and likely mods) that changes this, however.
