The only thing I can think of is because these recolour mods use new .esp files, Body slide isnt working on these new variations. The new slooty mod lets you recolour your suit at the workbench and the x-92 mod lets you craft different coloured versions.
Do these newer mods need their own bodyslide presets?
I use the mentioned mods too, and haven't had problems with recolors.
I suggest checking out these bodyslide/outfit studio tutorials by Nightasy:

there're 4 or so vids, and they cover a converstion from start to finish. I found them incredibly helpful.

then I used this mod (plus the male suit mod that it requires):

and you can see that now the belt sticks out like the body is too small, i have not changed the bodyslide settings:

This is really annoying as I love the slooty vault and x-92 outfits but really want different colours for different playthroughs
So its definitely something in this recolor/male suit mod, so if anyone can work out what its doing that would be great, I really want to have different versions of these suits.
Ive also noticed that the Nanosuit mod doesn't seem to want to accept bodyslide changes, I must have a mod that's interfereing with these bodyslides...don't know which one though
But once again, as soon as I reinstalled the bodyslide settings and tried to apply them I got Miss Skinny Britches, once I deactivated the recolor/male suit mod the bodyslide settings were applied.
Can someone look closely at the esp and materials files, there must be something there that clashed with the bodyslide settings
