accidentally killed drinking buddy...

As the title says, while doing "trouble brewin'" quest for the first time, in my haste I killed Buddy, as he seamed like yet another automaton in my vats. When I realized my mistake it was to late to reload to a previous save and even though i tried many things, from waiting the place that he is in to repopulate to using command prompts, he just always remains dead, even though quest marker is always above his head. So my question is is there any way to restart this quest or to respawn Buddy?

I don't think there's any way you can complte the quest now. You might be able to revive him by opening the console, clicking on the body, then typing "resurrect." I'm not sure if that will affect the quest though.

unfortunately no, not any that are usable, unless i want to lose HOURS of progress... It was totaly my bad as i realized my mistake when it was to late to reload to a usable previous save

Have you tried opening the console, clicking on the body and typed recycleactor?

go ahead, take the ammo, its a melee build :) will try with that command, hopefully it will work

the other beth game have a quest set stage command you could try that after you revive him

managed to revive him with "his id.resurrect", but still feel bad for my initial mistake

Lesson learnt then. Don't kill anyone that isn't hostile to you immediately. :P
