And if GNN's broadcasting frequency is in the mediumwave band, it can be heard in the Commonwealth during the evening hours. If it's in the 31 meter waveband shortwave, it could be heard during the day.

In general I miss the AM scratchy static that was in 3.
Also see "The Big 8" (CKLW), a station from WIndsor Ontario that could be heard as far away as Washington DC on a clear night. It had pretty good range into the US. "American Experience" had an episode about it years ago, in fact.
Or is that CKWW I'm thinking of
