Can only find T-45 armour and I am level 26

I went out on a little search to find all T-51 armour locations based on online guides. I discovered, however, that every single armour was a T-45 armour. I read you had to be at least level 15 to get 51 armour so I am very confused, as am 26. The locations included the highway by the graygardens, the containers by the old north church, and the fiddly trailer park.

Can anyone help me with this issue?

T51 armor is rare to come across. Almost as rare as the X-01. I only found half a suit and had to buy the rest of it from the atom cats. Beat the game, almost lvl 70, and I still haven't ran across any more t-51.

Love the armor tho.

I did get lucky tho and the action points chest piece from cambridge printed out as T51 armor.

do you specifically want t51 armour? t60 can be gotten quite fairly easily if you have stealth skills (asuming you didnt go BoS

Sometimes the game decides that all the armors are T-45 but is only a visual bug (the name is displayed correctly), to solve the problem you just have to remove one or two pieces from the armor frame and all the pieces will be converted in the right model.

T-51 actually has a lower chance modifier than the X-01 armor.

The base level of the armor is determined by your level the first time you load that game worlds Cell and it locks.

If you ran around early on exploring without leveling you're a little out of luck :-(

Is that correct that it can only be painted in Railroad colors though? I think I read that somewhere.

I found half a suit of X-01 - just missing the legs dammit!

EXPLORE. I have 3 full sets of X-01, and didn't use Wiki. Although I am lvl75 now so much easier. lol Join the Brotherhood for T60. (Cambridge Police Station)

I had over 3 fulls sets of X-01 by 25 but couldn't find a full set of T51 until lvl 60+. It's pretty random unless you buy the parts from the Atom Cats (assuming you never helped the BOS) and I didn't visit them until late game.

You'll find a full suit in the Southern Swamps just north of the big boom.

^^^ This. I have played the game over 4 times now, and this is so true. If you explore an area at lower levels, even without looting the power armor, when you go back later, it will be the same level PA as when you explored that area to begin with. I have proved this in my last two games. If you have the map of where the PA spawns, just try not to go to those areas until you are at least level 28. This includes the guys that wear the PA outside at Quincy, and Hub City aut wreckers. The last game I played, I got a full suit of leveled x-01 PA every time I went to these two locations (when the were not cleared), because I was about level 45 the first time I went to these two outside areas.
