Highlight loot?
Was wondering if there is any way or a mod that helps me detect what loot is pickable up around me. Having hard time gaining lenses and screws. Thanks!

There is when you upgrade your armour. Or buy from vendors.

There is... what?

Might be a perk that highlights loot that contains 'tagged' components. Or like Kelvy said it might be armor. I know one of my toons has it but not intentionally.

It's the Scrapper perk under Intelligence. If you have that and tag a component for search, it will appear highlighted when you are near an object with that component.

The perk you're looking for is Scrapper rank 2 =)

- Curse you Kel.... you beat me to it =P

I really do miss Dogmeat's perk of highlighting lootable corpses... Sometimes they're almost impossible to find after a big fire-fight...

having decent perception(i'm looking at you aviators) and then have multiple 'junks' that you want to search for(i always have adhesive, circutry, nuclear material, crystal, and a few others tagged). those items will highlight green for a decent amount of field of vision. i expect that if you tag screws and metal then virtually everything would be green highlighted as well.

I got it my game, couldn't remember which perk (thought it was armour helmet upgrade). Actually I find it annoying takes the fun out checking and looking for stuff.

If you're talking about the Targeting HUD for your power armor's helmet, it only highlights living things.

For the highlighting done by the Scrapper perk we mentioned above, you can turn it off by untagging the components.

Useful perk, but worth noting that it for some reason it doesn't highlight weapons and armor that will yield those parts when broken down.

If you're short of screws (*insert immature giggling*) -- modded weapons tend to yield them. Scrapper perk is *great* when you're breaking down heavily modded weapons; it even makes Institute weapons useful.

No just got the armour perk wrong. It is the scrapper perk, will do as suggested.
Scrapping weapon etc is fine.

there is a perk that highlights items that have been tagged for research. Otherwise, i don't think so. And though it would be a bit immersion breaking, there are times i would love to be able to see where that last monster dropped so i can loot its corpse.
